May Long Weekend

As you have noticed I have not been blogging for over a month. I have been so busy with exams and tests etc. I have not been able to blog very much. But now I have some time and I am back with a long blog about my camping trip this past long weekend.
First I would like to start off that Madison now has braces and is not too happy with them as you can see in this picture. Madison always has to cut up her food and can't eat certain foods. I think it must be hard but I think straight teeth in the end is totally worth it!

Over the weekend we did a lot of biking... I hurt myself twice in the process. Oh well that's what you get when you ride your bike in flip flops.

We went camping with the Goertzen's and the Retzlaff's which put together equals the Geortzlaff's. Kyra and Anne usually were the ones who biked together.

A friendly neighbor took a picture of all three of us. I was in the middle ofcourse and Kyra and Anne were on my left and right.

The game "Snap" was the highlight of the evenings... each time it was too cold to go outside the kids would stay in their trailers and play some "Snap". Madison was a pro at this. Kyra and Madison did have some agression when they were playing "Snap".

These two are Megan and Kara. Megan is three and a half and Kara is two. Kyra was very prud because her and Kara had the same middle name, Jane. Sorry Kyra that I put your middle name up. Madison and Liezel are almost like sisters.... they fight and laugh together... Liezel loved the monkey bars... These two sisters love eachother but they just don't show it. This is young Liezel running. Liezel is very photogenic.
Madison on the slide... Here is a picture of the group of amazing young ladies! Here are three lovely ladies, from left to right, Anne, Madison, Liezel The DS gaming system was very good for the long trips back to Calgary. Over all, it was the best camping trip I have been on in a really long time! I hope to be posting soon as the wheather is getting better and better!

  1. “Straight teeth in the end is totally worth it!”— I agree with you! The boost in confidence you get when you have a straight set of teeth is just great! I had the same feeling as your daughter before. I used to hate it because it always felt sore! But after I had it removed, I was so happy to see my teeth perfectly aligned. :-D `Hope Maddie can get used to it. So, how are her braces now?
