True Inspiration!

Canada's pride for 2010 was 24 year old Joannie Rochette of Montreal, Quebec, Canada. She was one of the best in the world. I have really liked her since I was little. Infact, when I was 9 I went and saw her on Stars on Ice Canada and she would always skate to Madonna's "Like a Prayer". I remember her and I remember when I was little also I would pretend to talk to her in French and English because ofcourse she is French Canadian like my dad's side of the family. I took Figure Skating Lessons but I decided dance better but I still love it. Joannie is my inspiration and always will be.

Sunday Morning, Joannie's 55 year old mother had a major heart attack in the Olympic Stands. Infact she had just arrived that morning, because Joannie was going to be skating two days after. Joannie's mother had died. Right there in the middle of her daughter's big moment in life, she doesn't get to see it. Her father drove two hours to tell Joannie the news. What a tragidy.

I could not believe my sort of hero Joannie Rochette had this tragedy happen to her. Joannie decided to skate for her mother and in honour of her mother. It takes a lot of courage to do that! That's why everyone thinks of her as an inspiration now. Not just me.

Joannie won Bronze Medal for Canada which is quite amazing for someone who's mother had just died. This is why she is my inspiration. She just never gives up!

Most Improved?

Term 2 at my school came and went very fast I thought. I didn't do as well as I thought but I did over all okay. Today was late entry as usual on Thursdays at my school so I caught up on sleeping. Today was a little different because today there was an awards assembily at my school for high acheivers and such and honour roll and effort and stuff like that. We had perioids one and two and then ate lunch and then the awards assembily took up the rest of the day. I didn't think I would get an award but.... I did! I got Most Improved student for Grade 8 along with other students as well! I am very proud of myself!

To make things better my dad got his bonus today and it was 4 times more than he thought. Yes today was a very good day. But I have been stressing out about how I have to present a project infront of the class tommorrow. Oh well I will get over it. Tonight we are going to my favourite resturaunt called Green Olive. I am so happy but yet nervous about tommorrow. Today was a shocking day!

Time Off...at last!

Yesterday was the last day that I went to school for this week. So all together it was a 2 day week which was just what I needed. I slept in until 9:00 today which is about 4 hours longer than I usually get. It was like heaven. I am wearing one of my favourite shirts from Aeropostale and my favourite pair of skinny jeans. It's starting to be a good day.

My mom is out at her Bible Study thing so I am at home with Bailey and it's going pretty good so far. I have been on my laptop alot but whatever it's the weekend right? I am so happy that my mom is back in the bible thing because she hasn't been doing it for a while so, I am really happy bout it.

Tonight I am going bowling with Ignite tonight including Madison and I am excited for that as well. I am so happy now that I go to events like this because I never used to. But it's okay. It's starting to be a really good day!

Messed-Up Mondays

Monday is my least favorite day of the week. It is terrible and horrible and unforgiveable. It is where you start missing the weekend right when you wake up and 5 am in the morning and when you smell that awful coffee that the teachers drink. Here's how this Monday started.

I woke up at 5 am as usual and ate no breakfast because I had no time to eat it. The bus came unforgettably late with a substitute driver and he was mean. I arrived at school 10 minutes late because of the stupid bus driver. I had to go to the office and get a late slip thingy from the secratary and go to my Homeroom teacher and blah blah blah. Just as I was going up the stairs I saw Antha, a girl in my class carry in her Alto Saxophone. She tripped and fell down the stairs and landed at the bottom with a big bang. She was in tears. I felt so bad. And I found out later that she had broken her hip.

I had Gym first period. We were doing the Archery and ping pong unit. Today I had archery and I wasn't too bad at it. But I guess I looked horrible to M.Baete because I aimed at the target thing and missed and I got in trouble.

Next was Art. We had to do some "dragon" inspired art work thing and I had no clue how or why I was even doing it and I suck at drawing so why am I even in art? I have no idea, but it is much better than Drama. Antha was supposed to be in that class with me but it almost made me have little tear thingys in my eyes because of the train wreck that had happened about an hour before.

Next was Hummanities. We were doing that silly group things for the Renissance and I got put into the group with the sickest people in the class. But happily we got put into different groups after and I was with Kristen, Caitlin, and Fuad. They weren't bad when thay made me cringe when they were talking about their marks and I had failed the two classes that they were talking about.

And then before lunch was Science. We were working on that project that is due on the 16 of Febuary when we come back from teacher's convention and all that jazz. I am doing it on The nerveous system and it's going actually pretty well for me considering I am with St.Onge.

Lunch was okay but I didn't have that much food because I was still shocked at what I saw before school. Lunch was usual I guess.

Fifth Period was Hummanities again and we had to work on a silly little book project which was kind of boring and kind of interesting at the same time.

Then Math. We are doing the really easy math like Graphs and things like that. It was quite easy and boring and blah. It was weird though because I usually suck at math and now I am better at it.

Last period was English. I am working with Kalsey on the Music and Lyrics project. We are re-writing the lyrics to "All the right moves" by OneRepublic. It is due tommorrow and I know we will get it done.

My hair was a mess today. It was literally standing up on end and I didn't even notice. It was a weird day. I was half aspleep most of it. But the thing is tommorrow is the last day of school this week which is a life saver! I am so excited for my 6 day weekend. And I just remebered I have dance tonight! Great!

Randomness and Excitedness :)

You've probrubly heard the song Tik Tok by Kesha. She is an amazing singer and I love her songs they are great. This morning I woke up in the morning feeling like her. No not P Diddy Kesha. I did the usual thing woke up at quater to six and did the usual wake up in the morning thing. I went to school and the bus wasn't late and I was so happy!

My really really really good friend Kalsey (West Ed Mall ring a bell?) is very popular and hangs out with the popular girls in the school. She is nice and pretty much all of the others are too. I hung out with Brianna and Jackie in flim class today because it was really boring and Brianna accidentally knocked over water in the Drama room and we had to go clean it all up which took forever. Next was English and I am working on an awsome project with Kalsey. I hung out with Elise and Natasha at lunch and I am so excited to go to West Ed Mall!

Tonight I am stopping by 7-11 to go and by a lot of junk food for me and Kalsey on the bus and the others in our youth group. It is going to be so much fun!

Happy Day!

I haven't been happy these days. Infact, their has been more sorrow and pain then joy or stress relief. It started out pretty much as any regular day would. It was Thursday so I got sleep in til 7:00. I went on my laptop and played on Facebook and found out that my old best friend Mercedes was on and I added her and she said yes! I was happy about that.

I got my report card for Term 2 on Tuesday and was not impressed at all! St.Onge or Stonge had failed me in both his classes. He is the worst teacher on the planet. He is mean and rude and talks way too fast! Everyone hates him and he only fails you if your not pretty!

I had a test yesterday on "Cellules et Systeme" and I thought I really sucked at them. My friend Kalsey and I both anxiously waited for him to show us our marks! Kalsey had to get over 80 or else she wouldn't get to go to Florida!

St.Onge handed it back with a smile on his face! 90%!!!!!!!!!! An A+ I couldn't be any happier and Kalsey got 85%! That was the way I wanted to start of the 3 term of the year!

On Saturday Kalsey and I and our other friends are going to go to West Edmonton Mall and I am so excited about that! My dad just handed over 85$ to me and I do not know what I want. I might get home with a ton of bags.... but who knows?

I couldn't be any happier and maybe St.Onge isn't the worst teacher in the planet. Maybe I just had to keep trying!
